Together with the , , and the , the Institute is organising ‘LifeLab’ as part of European ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵers Night 2018. We aim to bring researchers and the community closer together, to show how local research influences our lives, to celebrate research outcomes and to showcase career opportunities. On Friday 28th and Saturday 29th September, LifeLab has a busy programme of events in Peterborough and Cambridge, check out the website to see the programme.
The LifeLab programme is varied, designed to appeal to a wide range of people. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵers can become tour guides and share Cambridge’s hidden science history during a tour through the City, or get messy with hands-on activities in Queensgate, Peterborough and the Grafton Centre and Grand Arcade, Cambridge, or share their love of reading and science with storytime at Cambridge Central Library or Cathedral Square in Peterborough.
Our brand-new, fun and interactive exhibit ‘Race Against the Ageing Clock’ exhibit which was so successful at this year’s Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition will also be at Cathedral Square in Peterborough! By taking our research and our researchers to Peterborough we are aiming to bring our science to new audiences and inspire more students to consider a career in science.
There are many opportunities for researchers to get involved, and for the public to meet local scientists and to hear about their stories. Some events require booking in advance, so choose your favourite(s), plan and book your LifeLab experience now! ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵers should get in touch with Esther to sign up for events.
