Yasmeen was born and raised in London, and never ventured further afield for her BSc degree in biochemistry at UCL. She then turned traitor and joined Imperial for an MRes in cellular biology. She joined Rahul Samant’s lab in 2020 as it’s first ever PhD student! Her project involves study of the breakdown of proteostasis during cellular ageing.
