My initial training was in Biochemistry from Presidency College at the University of Calcutta. I then went on to pursue my doctoral studies in Molecular Genetics from IISER Pune, India, where I tried to understand the mechanisms of Hox protein function and their implications in the evolution of insect appendages. After completing my PhD in 2021, I worked as the Project Lead for the SARS-CoV2 Genomic Surveillance program in India, following which I joined the Babraham Institute as a Bioinformatician for the Epigenetics group.
