Our popular Babraham Institute Sixth-Form Conference (BISFC) will return on Thursday 1st December 2022, 6-9pm, in the Petersfield Lecture Theatre, Babraham ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Campus.
At BISFC, students will hear a series of lightning talks on our cutting-edge fundamental biology research, as well as finding out more about a variety of careers in bioscience. Participants can also get creative by submitting a scientific poster or piece of artwork to our design competition, with the top entries being invited to present their creation at the conference. This is a brilliant opportunity for students to demonstrate their independent research or design skills, and to experience a taste of a real-life academic conference.
The theme of BISFC 2022 is Healthy Ageing. This is a key focus of much of our cutting-edge research at the Babraham Institute. Read more about our Healthy Ageing research here.
Registration for the Conference is now closed. Please note this is an in-person event and takes place at the Babraham Institute.
Please see the 'Getting Here' section of our Contact Us page for details about how to reach the Institute.
We will also be running a free shuttle bus for the Conference. This will depart from Station Road, Cambridge, CB1 2JW at 5.30pm and return to the same location at 9.15pm. You may request a seat(s) on the shuttle bus when you register, or by emailing PE@babraham.ac.uk.
Places on the shuttle bus are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
